Reach 100 followers in Medium

Growing followers in Medium is not that difficult after all we just need 100 people to get paid right? How hard can it be? These are some of the steps taken by really successful “Medium Creators”.
Follow others
You can only grow if others support you. Show your support to others by following them and they will follow you back. If you only follow one or two people then no one will follow you. You will be classified as a “follow Hoarder”, you should be a “follow giver”. 😋
Engage with people’s post
Engaging with people is the most important and often overlooked part of community building people assume it ends with following someone and giving a ♥.
Try to show that you read an authors work and show some appreciation even if it is a one-liner such as “thanks for the amazing article author name” or share your points or add to their points like “I completely support you point X and I think point Y is a nice addition/will strengthen your argument”
Closing notes
It is really sad that the people managing Medium doesn’t get the bad behaviour they are cultivating. A prime example of supporting quantity over quality.
what I want to add is that this might be the exact opposite of what I preached above, if everyone follows everyone else eventually the Medium algorithm will fail. Why not create a revolution here in Medium. All you have to do to participate is follow others (My man Gandhi would be proud of this non-violent revolution based on helping others, Viva la revolución).😃
I too am in dire need of 100 followers and many good people already followed me. If you would like to follow me I would suggest only doing it if at least one of my articles resonates with you, is helpful to you or you just want to help out a fellow writer. I will make sure to return the favour if you comment your thoughts below, the thoughts can be anything random maybe let others know about your day or thoughts about my article etc.
